According to the USDA, more than 38 million people, including 12 million children, are food insecure in the United States. Because food insecurity affects many of our military heroes, CrossCountry Consulting chose Veteran’s Day as this year’s annual Day of Service.
Through a variety of events across the nation, employees raised $3,250, which was donated to Feeding America; CrossCountry matched this donation, for a total of $6,500. These efforts will provide 65,000 meals to people all over the country.
In addition to cash donations, CrossCountry employees in Boston, Dallas, New York, Nashville, St. Louis, San Francisco, Tampa, Tulsa, and Washington, D.C. volunteered through the Feeding America network for a total of over 450 hours (almost 19 days)! They sorted, packed, and delivered meals to people in need.
“We are immensely grateful for the time and energy our team used to participate in this year’s Day of Service,” said Julianna Mastroianni, Chief Human Resources Officer. “We look forward to next year’s event.”
CrossCountry remains dedicated to supporting their communities nationwide in 2022 and beyond.
