Strategic hiring of former EY leaders strengthens firm’s ability to serve clients with complex transactions

MCLEAN, VA, March 19, 2024 — CrossCountry Consulting, a leading business advisory firm, today announced the hiring of four former EY leaders to bolster its transaction advisory solutions. The addition brings increased depth and expertise across a broad range of capabilities to support corporate clients and PE sponsors in preparing for and executing mergers and acquisitions (M&A), carve-outs and divestitures, and capital markets transactions.

“CrossCountry has continued to develop and grow our complex transactions capabilities over the years,” said Erik Linn, CrossCountry Consulting’s Co-Founder and Managing Partner. “Our four new colleagues are highly respected in the industry, and their breadth and depth of expertise will prove invaluable to our clients.”

The newly hired Partners, who were most recently with EY’s Strategy & Transactions practice, include:

  • Brent Borio brings over 20 years of public accounting experience, including 18 years of transaction and M&A support across a range of industries with a focus on diversified industrials, serving corporate and private equity clients on complex sell-side transactions, carve-outs, and buy-side transactions.
  • Brett Cutshall has over 16 years of experience in data and analytics, financial analysis, buy- and sell-side transaction diligence, and transformational carve-outs; her primary industry focus areas include consumer products, retail, and advanced manufacturing.
  • Rishi Patel has over 17 years of public accounting experience dedicated to the healthcare and life sciences sector with specialized experience navigating complex buy-side, sell-side, and carve-out M&A transactions for private equity and corporate clients.
  • Iwan Vandervinne has more than 20 years of experience across a wide range of industry sectors through M&A, including complicated carve-out divestitures and supporting the sell-side process for both corporate clients and private equity portfolio companies.

“CrossCountry has a strong track record of serving clients throughout the transaction lifecycle,” said Kati Penney, the firm’s Transaction Advisory Solutions lead. “The addition of such a talented group of leaders with deep expertise in complex transactions enables us to deliver value to clients at greater scale across a broad range of industries.”
