Head of AI Innovation & Transformation
Tom is a Partner and Head of AI Innovation & Transformation, where he helps organizations drive enterprise-wide change at the intersection of finance, technology, and strategy. With over 20 years of experience, he has led large-scale transformation programs focused on agile ways of working, modernizing finance through digital tools, advancing enterprise performance management (EPM/CPM), and embedding data and analytics into decision-making.
Tom plays an instrumental role in helping CFOs and CIOs design integrated solutions that connect strategy, data, and operations. His work spans creating best-in-class analytics solutions, implementing AI and emerging technologies, strengthening internal controls, and shaping the finance function of the future through digitalization and employee engagement. He has also served sponsor-backed and middle market clients, helping them scale operations and unlock value through digital transformation.
Prior to his current role, Tom spent more than two decades at PwC, where he held multiple leadership positions including U.S. Controller and Digital Transformation Leader. He also served as CFO of the firm’s CFO Assurance practice and was a member of the Enterprise Solution Center’s leadership council. In those roles, he spearheaded efforts to modernize the finance function and influence firmwide operations.
Beyond his client work, Tom has contributed to numerous publications and is a frequent speaker at industry forums, including Gartner CFO and FEI conferences. He has also contributed to Gartner’s Controllership in the Digital Age, serves on Synapse’s board, and remains an active thought leader on the future of finance and digital transformation. He received a degree in Accounting from Westminister College.
