Use Case
With forthcoming environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards from the SEC forthcoming for public companies in 2023/2024, a global audio streaming and media services provider was seeking to prepare, review, and publish its annual Equity & Inclusion (E&I) report.
CrossCountry Consulting was engaged to assist in the research, development, and scrutiny of the client’s E&I process and report, with special consideration given to readiness plans relative to SEC and EU ESG reporting requirements.
Our Approach
CrossCountry’s cross-functional team worked closely with the client’s E&I and Technical Accounting functions to develop, review, and improve E&I reporting within a tight deadline.
This effort also entailed collaborating with a carbon accounting company to perform a rigorous review of ESG data outputs and emission mapping within a dedicated platform.
Together these workstreams enabled CrossCountry to deliver early insight and research into the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and its impact on reporting requirements and client operations in various EU countries.
Our Impact
Ultimately, with CrossCountry’s expert support and execution, the client was set on the path toward meeting its E&I reporting deadline and delivering to senior management the appropriate insight and actions needed to construct comprehensive plans for SEC and EU reporting compliance.
