Ben Brandes to help lead a team focusing on the needs of private equity firms throughout the country
MCLEAN, VA, August 15, 2020 — CrossCountry Consulting, a leading business advisory firm, today announced that Ben Brandes has joined the firm’s national Private Equity practice in their Boston office, effective immediately. Utilizing his deep industry knowledge and expertise in improving the finance function of companies, Mr. Brandes will help lead a dedicated team by identifying and assessing clients’ needs and provide an integrated approach to working with private equity firms and supporting their portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle.
Throughout his 20-year career, Mr. Brandes has invested, managed, and advised on more than $2B for mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. Known as a three-tier executive with experience in private equity investment, financial advisory, and transactions, his established network of relationships with capital providers, investment bankers, and business owners will support CrossCountry’s growing Private Equity practice. The company regularly assists portfolio companies with due diligence, integrating newly acquired investments, selecting and implementing new back-office systems, improving financial reporting processes, and preparing for strategic exits.

Prior to joining CrossCountry, Mr. Brandes was a Managing Director for Accordion Partners, focusing on finanancial consulting to private equity and VC firms, and a National Director with Grant Thornton where he spearheaded their entry into the private equity space. In 2012, he founded Hyde Investment Group to invest in and grow franchised businesses in beauty, health, and wellness, and previously launched private equity group Avalon Management LLC where he steered the investment, administration, and daily management of $500M in total capital for mid-tier deals.
