As CFO, Steve brings with him decades of experience leading finance and cross-functional teams through periods of growth. He leads the development of corporate finance strategy and oversees all financial operations, including financial planning, treasury, operational metrics and analytics, accounting, tax, and reporting.
Steve is a seasoned, strategic CFO and has more than 25 years of financial management and professional services experience within publicly and privately held technology and service companies. He previously served as the Principal of Boyce Advisory Services which provides finance and accounting consulting to start-ups and growth-oriented companies. Prior to that, Steve served as the Chief Financial Officer of RRD Capital, LLC, a SPAC sponsor of RRD I Acquisition Corp. There, he led all RRD Capital finance functions, including accounting, financial planning, treasury, tax, and financial operations. His professional experience also includes time as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of MorganFranklin Consulting, LLC, and more than a decade at NeuStar, Inc. in a variety of roles including Vice President, Finance & Treasurer and Vice President, Finance & Corporate Controller.
Steve received his BBA in Accounting from James Madison University. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors for JMU’s College of Business.
Juliana is the Chief Human Resources Officer at CrossCountry Consulting. In this role, she is responsible for leading all aspects of Human Resources including talent acquisition, talent management, overall HR strategy, HR compliance and diversity and inclusion. She brings to the firm over 15 years of experience in strategic thought leadership, talent management, team development, and client service industry experience.
Juliana began her career as a Big 4 consultant and gained experience with structured finance, process improvement and finance transformation. She transitioned into recruiting and HR after pursuing her MBA from the Smith School of Business and has built a high functioning HR and recruiting team at CrossCountry Consulting. Juliana uses a thoughtful and collaborative approach in serving as a strategic partner in building CrossCountry by maximizing the value of human capital and aligning it with company initiatives, values, strategies and the needs of all stakeholders.
Juliana received her BA in Economics and International Relations from Boston University and her MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
Amy brings more than thirty years of experience in consulting, operations, human resources and finance at top consulting and accounting firms. Amy’s responsibilities at CrossCountry include overseeing the Human Resources, Recruiting, Marketing, Technology and Operations functions for a rapidly growing consulting firm.
Prior to joining the firm, Amy served as Director of Operations at Navigant Consulting where she led the strategy and build-out of an internal operations platform to support 75 consultants and $45M of revenue. Her experience at Navigant included a global role where she led the Operations team for the Construction Practice based out of London. Amy also held operational leadership positions at Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen where she managed finance, human resources, marketing, and communications for the Mid-Atlantic area, supporting more than 1,500 professionals. Prior to her operational experience, Amy was an auditor with Arthur Andersen and maintains her CPA.
Amy is a graduate of the College of William and Mary. She currently resides in Washington, DC with her husband and two children.
Roderick leads CrossCountry’s Corporate Strategy function and serves as a Partner in the firm’s Private Equity practice.
In his Corporate Strategy role, Roderick works with CrossCountry leadership to develop and implement strategies that drive growth, including long-term strategic planning and corporate development.
Roderick is also a Partner in the firm’s national Private Equity practice where he provides financial, strategic, and accounting advisory support to private equity firms and their portfolio companies across a wide range of industry sectors.
Roderick began his career at Arthur Andersen as a member of the firm’s Audit practice. In 2011, Roderick joined Erik Linn, Dave Kay, and Neil Smith to start CrossCountry.
Roderick received his BS in Business Administration and Accounting from Washington & Lee University and his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Keith is a Partner leading CrossCountry Consulting’s National Transformation and Technology Enablement practices, including Strategic Alliances with Sage Intacct, OneStream, Coupa, and NetSuite. Responsible for driving holistic integrated solutions across the Offices of the CFO and CIO, private equity, and other corporate functional leaders, he guides service delivery, commercial operations, and firmwide excellence. With nearly 30 years of experience within professional services and industry roles, Keith has managed and executed complex accounting processes and functions and driven large-scale finance transformation initiatives that create bottom-line value to the CFO organization. This work has included generating and delivering a strategic finance roadmap to optimize processes, identify and implement an appropriate technology stack, and maximize the return on enterprise transformation.
Keith began his career at Arthur Andersen in the assurance practice. In 1999, he left audit to enhance his client service skills by joining Capital Advisory Services, LLC, founded by Erik Linn. Keith then spent 15 years in the financial services industry serving in senior corporate finance roles, including Business Unit Controller at Freddie Mac, SVP and Head of Accounting Operations at State Street Corporation, and SVP and Corporate Controller of Santander Bank N.A. He returned to professional services at CrossCountry Consulting in 2016 by opening the Boston office.
Keith graduated from William & Mary with a BBA in Accounting and has a Masters degree in Finance from Boston College. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Northern New England.
Shawn Degnan leads Cross Country Consulting’s National Accounting Advisory practice and the Washington, D.C. Office, where he is responsible for the overall strategy, client delivery and people, as well as practice and business development. In this role, Shawn guides service delivery for private and public companies, ranging from growth-oriented venture capital and private equity backed businesses to Fortune 500 companies. He brings more than 20 years of experience advising clients on complex technical accounting issues and strategic transactions, including initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, and spinoffs.
Prior to joining Cross Country, Shawn spent nine years at MorganFranklin Consulting as Managing Director and Commercial Market Leader guiding all aspects of the firm’s commercial practice. He spent the first 12 years of his career with EY in its Global Capital Markets and Assurance practices leading delivery of both audit and advisory engagements for large, global SEC registrants and private companies.
Shawn received his BS in Accounting, Finance and Internal Audit from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
As the firm’s consulting practice leader, Neil is responsible for leading the teams that develop and deliver advisory services and technology solutions to CrossCountry’s clients. He has over twenty years of experience assisting clients with optimizing operations, finance, and accounting functions and leading organizations through complex change initiatives. Neil continues to serve as an advisor to executive-level clients at Fortune 500 and emerging growth organizations across multiple industries.
Neil started his career at Arthur Andersen in the Business Consulting practice, where his primary focus was finance function improvement. Neil also worked as a consultant for BearingPoint, where he continued to develop his focus in performance improvement. In 2003, he left BearingPoint to join Capital Advisory Services, LLC (“CapAdvisory”). After the acquisition of CapAdvisory by Navigant Consulting, Neil joined Freddie Mac as a Business Projects Director in the Finance division. He left Freddie Mac in 2006 to return to consulting and helped found CrossCountry Consulting in 2011.
Neil received his BA in English from The George Washington University. He currently serves as the Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee for Junior Achievement of Greater Washington.
Erik brings almost 20 years of experience founding, leading and growing consulting companies. He has a consistent track record of assembling world class leadership teams, serving high profile clients and scaling businesses. Erik is very passionate that CrossCountry’s employees and clients get a “better experience.”
Previously, Erik served as Managing Director and Practice Leader for Navigant Consulting (now Guidehouse) Finance and Accounting Solutions practice, which he co-led with Dave Kay. There, he was responsible for leading the company’s strategic planning and market positioning, acquisition investment strategy and integration, and business development activities related to the financial services industry. Additionally, Erik served on Navigant’s Management Committee where he advised executive leadership on strategic and operational issues facing the firm.
Prior to joining Navigant, Erik was founder and CEO of Capital Advisory Services, LLC. He led CapAdvisory through five years of tremendous growth before selling his firm to Navigant in 2004.
Erik began his career at Arthur Andersen in the firm’s Audit and Business Advisory division. He received a BBA in Accounting from James Madison University.
Jill Agudelo is a Partner and CrossCountry’s National Risk Advisory practice leader. She has over 20 years of experience in internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), enterprise risk management, internal controls, and organizational change management. Jill specializes in helping organizations solve their most complex risk and internal controls challenges. She leads our efforts to ensure our Risk team is Future Ready to drive risk transformation for our clients.
Jill began her career at ExxonMobil in Internal Audit. In 2004, Jill left ExxonMobil to begin her consulting career and further developed her expertise with both Navigant Consulting and MorganFranklin Corporation. She specialized in assisting organizations implement internal audit and SOX compliance programs, including ongoing controls optimization, automation, and remediation. Jill has spent much of her career providing services to Financial Services clients, with a focus in the secondary mortgage market. Her industry experience has also included energy, biomedical, telecommunications, non-profit, insurance and manufacturing industries.
Jill received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida.
