Challenge
Given Rachio’s exponential expansion, this state-of-the-art sprinkler system company quickly outgrew its initial business and financial management software. To cope with overburdened systems, Rachio attempted to add more to meet capacity and achieve the functionality it desired. While this solved a handful of near-term issues, it caused degradation of corporate data and numerous IT redundancies.
Finance and accounting teams struggled to consolidate and report on key company data, which meant executives weren’t able to make accurate financial projections. Strategic planning and additional growth targets were subsequently made unattainable and less a significant transformation was made.
How We Helped
Understanding the gravity of this issue, CrossCountry Consulting was engaged to develop and deploy a single integrated system through which information could be maintained, processed, transmitted, and reported on. The key was to make the right data accessible at the right time across every business process.
The team quickly synthesized the software requirements and designed a custom NetSuite solution that could:
- Handle all types of financial, operational, and functional projections.
- Consolidate and centralize core business management activities in a cloud-based environment.
- Deliver key modules for financials and inventory management.
- Deliver full operational control to users and visibility across departments relating to inventory, product demand, and financial reporting.
Results
With a newly deployed and operationalized NetSuite environment, Rachio benefitted from:
- Customizable financial reports and intuitive dashboards, which accelerated time-to-decision.
- Enhanced data quality, data flows, and data management.
- Retiring spreadsheet-based manual tasks and freeing up critical finance and accounting resources.
- High-level and detailed views of user-dependent information.
Powered by NetSuite, Rachio continues to grow significantly, and as the enterprise has evolved, its ERP is custom-coded to advance with it.
