At CrossCountry, our strength is rooted in our people and our shared commitment to growth. National Learning & Development Month provided a dedicated time for our community to focus on the skills and knowledge that not only advance individual careers but also strengthen our firm. It was a month dedicated to intentional growth and showcased how investing in ourselves fuels our collective success.

Making Growth Accessible Through Microlearning

A central theme throughout this time was the power of microlearning. We understand that finding time for development can be challenging amidst client priorities and deadlines. That’s why we emphasized making learning accessible through short, focused lessons that fit into any schedule.

Our team embraced resources such as quick-hit courses, insightful TED Talks, and other bite-sized content. As Senior Consultant Brooke Snyder notes, “CrossCountry encourages professional growth by providing resources like LinkedIn Learning and the AI Resource Hub. I love how the firm’s competency framework outlines what you need to do to be successful.” These moments of learning demonstrated that even ten minutes a day can build momentum, spark new ideas, and contribute to meaningful skill development. It’s a practical approach that transforms everyday work into an opportunity for growth, allowing our consultants to stay agile and informed.

Upskilling: The Pathway to New Opportunities

Throughout the month, we highlighted upskilling as a direct path to new possibilities. Each new skill acquired is more than just a line on a resume; it’s a key that unlocks doors to different projects, expands responsibilities, and leads to more complex, high-value work.

By dedicating time to targeted training and certifications, our people are better equipped to adapt to evolving client needs and industry shifts. This continuous development empowers our teams not just to meet expectations, but to exceed them with confidence and expertise. It’s this dedication to upskilling that ensures we are always prepared for the next challenge.

How AI is Transforming the Learning Experience

Innovation is at the core of what we do, and that extends to how we learn. Artificial Intelligence played a significant role in our L&D initiatives, reshaping how professional development is delivered and experienced. AI-driven tools offer personalized content recommendations and adaptive learning pathways, making the process more efficient, engaging, and inclusive.

These technologies ensure that learning is not a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, it becomes a tailored experience that supports diverse needs and learning styles. By integrating AI, we are creating a more dynamic and accessible environment where every team member can find the resources they need to thrive.

Looking Forward, Together

Learning & Development Month was a powerful reminder that continuous improvement is a journey, not a destination. The skills we build today are the foundation for the career growth and client impact we will achieve tomorrow. As we move forward, we carry the momentum from this month with us.

As Sue Sujansky, our Learning and Development Manager, explains, “Learning is essential to driving strategy, enabling new initiatives, and supporting career growth. The most impactful learning happens beyond the classroom – when we apply new skills on the job, reflect on our experiences, and share insights with others. This kind of continuous, real-world learning builds capability and fuels innovation across the firm.”

Thank you to everyone who participated, shared their knowledge, and embraced the opportunity to grow. By continuing to prioritize learning, embrace upskilling, and leverage innovative tools like AI, we will continue to build a culture of excellence and a firm where every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
