Zulema Garcia

Integrated Risk Management

Zulema is a Partner in CrossCountry’s Integrated Risk Management practice at, based in the Los Angeles office. With over three decades of extensive experience in accounting, financial analysis, audit, risk, and governance, Zulema is a trusted advisor to financial executives navigating complex regulatory environments. She specializes in SOX compliance, financial reporting, and auditing, leveraging a strong working knowledge of SEC, US GAAP, and IFRS requirements to help clients strengthen their control frameworks and drive operational excellence.

Prior to joining CrossCountry, Zulema served as the Head of SOX for CNM’s Business Process and IT SOX service lines. Before that, she held leadership roles at Herbalife, including Senior VP of Internal Audit and WW Spend Management.  Zulema began her career at KPMG, where she spent 24 years and rose to the position of audit partner. During her tenure, she served as the Deputy Professional Practice Partner for the South Region (Latin America) and completed a rotation in KPMG’s Audit Quality and Professional Practice Group in New York.

Zulema is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in California and New York, and holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Mount St. Mary’s University. An active and respected leader in the business community, she serves as an independent board member for Cyclum Renewables and previously, Skechers.  She has recently served as member of the Board of Trustees of Mount St. Mary’s University. Zulema is also a member of the Latino Corporate Directors Association and Women Corporate Directors (LA Chapter).
