Adam Mallord

Integrated Risk Management

Adam is a Partner in CrossCountry’s Integrated Risk Management practice, based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. With over 25 years of experience in audit, security, and compliance, Adam serves as a strategic advisor to organizations seeking to enhance their governance, internal controls and overall risk management posture. He specializes in internal audit and SOX compliance, having served as interim head of internal audit and SOX on behalf of dozens of clients. From year-one implementations and risk assessments to the remediation of material weaknesses. Adam is dedicated to empowering financial executives by delivering practical solutions that fortify compliance and drive process improvements.

Prior to joining CrossCountry, Adam was a Partner at CNM LLP, where he led the firm’s Business Process SOX practice. During this time, he provided people-focused leadership and development to the BP SOX practice consisting of more than 50 professionals and led the BP SOX group’s buildout of its Malaysia practice. Before that, Adam served as the Internal Audit Director at Anthem Blue Cross, where he led project teams in analyzing high-risk areas of the enterprise and developed the annual audit plan based on comprehensive risk assessments. He was previously a Manager in KPMG’s Risk Advisory Services group, where he provided oversight on external and internal audits of business process and IT-related areas such as application controls, infrastructure, and project management for a variety of clients. Adam started his career at Arthur Andersen.

Adam is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus on Management Information Systems from the University of Notre Dame.
