CrossCountry Consulting Supports Ronald McDonald House Charities

(McLean, VA) CrossCountry Consulting employees recently volunteered their time preparing and serving dinner at the Northern Virginia Ronald McDonald House.  With the help of the Family Meal Program, visiting families are able to return to the Ronald McDonald House after a day at the hospital with their child to find a home-cooked meal.  It’s believed when a child is hospitalized the love and family support is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.

Cindy Lin, Community Service Committee lead for CrossCountry said, “Our employees are dedicated to helping families in our community and our continued partnership with the Ronald McDonald House has allowed us to make a direct impact.  Each time we organize an event, we are welcomed by the house staff as well as visiting families.”  Lin added, “We consider it a very rewarding experience to give back to the community and provide a home cooked meal for families to enjoy after a long day at the hospital.”

In total this month, 23 employees prepared and served dinner to approximately 14-16 parents and children staying at the Falls Church Ronald McDonald House.  This is the sixth time CrossCountry employees have partnered with the Ronald McDonald House to donate their time, food, and energy essential to the mission of providing a caring and uplifting environment for visiting families.

Since opening their doors 16 years ago, the 8-bedroom Northern Virginia Ronald McDonald House has welcomed more than 3,600 families.
