(McLean, VA) In the spirit of the holiday season, CrossCountry Consulting is proud to announce its first annual holiday toy drive to benefit the Toys for Tots Foundation. Saturday, December 7, 2013, CrossCountry Consulting partnered with United States Marines and Toys for Tots to collect 100 new toys for deserving Washington area children. As part of the firm’s holiday party at Loews Madison Hotel, CrossCountry employees, family and friends generously donated new and unwrapped toys as part of the firm’s 2013 community outreach program. Blake Rushing, Managing Consultant and Community Service Committee Lead at CrossCountry Consulting said, “As a firm, one of CrossCountry’s core values is “impact” – we strive to leave a positive mark not just on our clients, but also the communities in which we live. Toys for Tots has been impacting our community in a positive way longer than any CrossCountry employee has been alive – its goal is to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters to assist them in becoming responsible, productive and patriotic citizens. It really makes perfect sense for our Firm to partner with such a well-established and like-minded organization in order to bless others and we hope to do it again in 2014!”

Since 1947, Toys for Tots has distributed more than 469 million toys to over 216 million children across the country. Toys for Tots coordinators will now store the collected toys in central warehouses where the toys are sorted by age and gender.
